Health Club

In our Health club we do various activities in the form of speeches, skits awareness programmes and exhibits. The aim is to create awareness among school children regarding the basic concept of health & hygiene. Every year on 26th June a programme to mark addiction"International Day against Drug abuse and illicit trafficking is conducted to create awareness on drug & its harmful effects of tobacco. We conducted a large scale awareness programme when there was the "Swine Flu Scare". Recently we had a similar large scale awareness programme on Dengue Awareness which was conducted with the help of Chennai Corporation Health Officer and Sanitary Officer. Regular Fumigation is also done in our school premises to control the breeding of mosquitoes. In the academic year 2011-2012 (month of November) preliminary eye testing was done for all students of class IV to XII by selected students trained as Vision Ambassadors by Elite school of optometry – Sankara Nethralaya. We also stress on mental health along with physical health. Our children are trained on basic Yoga by experienced Yoga Teacher. We also have various programmes on substance abuse, self control, anger control and use of abusive language.
